Privacy Policy

Effective: April 15, 2026

AdaptivePlay PX ("the App") was built as a commercial app by Sigma Research Inc. ("the Company") and is intended for use as is. This page informs users of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when using the App. The App does not collect or store personal data on external servers. All user-generated data — including macros, settings, and PSN credentials — remains on your device.

Information Collection and Use

The App does not collect personally identifiable information. The App does not require account creation and does not transmit personal data externally. All App data — including controller settings, button mappings, saved macros, and console connection details — is stored locally on your device and is never shared with the Company or any third party.

PlayStation Network Authentication

To connect to your PlayStation console, the App may direct you to sign in through Sony's official PlayStation Network authentication page. Your PSN credentials are entered directly on Sony's website and are never accessed, stored, or visible to the App. The App retrieves your PSN username and account ID from Sony's servers, which are stored locally on your device and used solely to register with and connect to your console. Your PSN password is never stored by the App. Users may also enter their account ID manually without signing in through Sony.

Permissions

The App requests the following device permissions, all of which are used solely for core App functionality:

  • Microphone — Used to capture audio and transmit it to your PlayStation console during a Remote Play session over your local network. Audio is not recorded, stored, or transmitted externally.
  • Foreground Service — Used to maintain the connection to your PlayStation console when the App is running in the background.

Device Access

The App accesses the following device capabilities as part of normal operation:

  • Local Network — Used to communicate with your PlayStation console over your local Wi-Fi network. No data is sent outside your local network by the App.
  • USB/Bluetooth Controllers — Used to read input from connected controllers. Input data is processed locally and sent to your PlayStation console over your local network.

Local Data Storage

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

  • Controller input settings (deadzones, clamp values, inversions, axis processing, swaps)
  • Button mappings
  • Various general settings including mute trigger
  • Saved macros and their configurations
  • Console IP addresses and connection details
  • PSN username and account ID

This data is never transmitted externally. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.

Third-Party Services

The App uses Firebase services provided by Google:

  • Firebase Crashlytics — Collects anonymous crash reports including device model, operating system version, and crash stack traces. No personally identifiable information is included.
  • Firebase Analytics — Collects anonymous usage data such as session duration, feature usage, and in-app interactions. This data is used solely for product analytics.

For more information on how Google processes this data, see Google's privacy policy.

Data Retention and Deletion

All app data is stored locally on your device. The Company does not store any user data on external servers. Data is retained on your device until you choose to delete it. You can delete individual data at any time within the App, including saved macros, registered consoles, and PSN accounts. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. Since the Company does not collect or store data, there is no additional data to request deletion of.

Security

Communication between the App and your PlayStation console is encrypted using industry-standard cryptographic protocols. Authentication credentials are stored locally on your device. No personal data is transmitted to external servers.

Children's Privacy

The App is a general audience app and is not specifically targeted at children under the age of 13. The Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

The Company may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
